A summer fete on the green in Lyndhurst: a row of pop-up gazebo stalls with scalloped valances and blank signs, tables of home-made jams, cakes and potted plants, strings of bunting, people browsing and a child with a balloon, a dark yew hedge and tall trees behind and the brick tower and stone spire of St Michael and All Angels rising above them

If you are organising something in or near Lyndhurst, from a village fair or a guided walk to a talk, a market or a charity run, tell us about it here and we will add it to our events calendar. Listing an event is free.

We check every event with the organiser’s own website or social media before it goes in, and we keep the calendar to things within about ten miles of the village that visitors can turn up to or book.

What we need

  • The name of the event and who is running it
  • The date or dates, and the times if you know them
  • Where it is, with an address or postcode
  • What it costs, even if it is free
  • A link to a web page, if there is one, so visitors can check the details
  • A few sentences on what happens and who it suits, including whether dogs and children are welcome

For example Saturday 5 December 2026, or every Saturday in December

What happens, who it is for, whether dogs or children are welcome. A few sentences is plenty.

Only used to check details with you. Never published.

We use your email address only to check the event with you, then delete the message. Our privacy notice explains more.

How long it takes

We add events by hand, usually within a week. If your event is less than a fortnight away, say so in the description and we will try to fit it in sooner. If the details change, send the form again with the new information, or use our contact page.

What we don’t list

We don’t list private parties, events that are only open to members, or anything we cannot check. We may shorten your description so it matches the rest of the calendar.
